I have put together an (updated July 2020) short introduction to data journalism at the New Zealand Herald.

It turns out it is basically a list of the articles that we have done over the last year or so - these serve as a pretty good introduction to how data can be incorporated into articles.

I have also used another of Martin Reisch’s fantastic images as the banner image. There is something about his ‘small people in geometric landscapes’ [my name] that captures something of the essence of data journalism for me.
